On January 30, 2025, the Department of Energy - Energy Utilization Management Bureau (DOE-EUMB) conducted a comprehensive Energy Audit at TUP-Taguig, meticulously assessing the university’s annual energy and fuel consumption. The audit aimed to evaluate the institution’s existing energy-saving practices, programs, and strategies, ensuring they align with national energy conservation goals. By undergoing this rigorous evaluation, TUP-Taguig demonstrates its proactive approach to sustainability, recognizing the importance of responsible energy management in mitigating environmental impact and promoting efficiency within its operations. The audit not only serves as a diagnostic tool for identifying areas for improvement but also highlights the university’s ongoing efforts to integrate sustainable practices into its daily activities.
The Energy Audit was conducted by DOE-EUMB Certified Energy Auditors in accordance with Department Circular (DC) 2023-12-0034, which mandates strict monitoring, evaluation, and enhancement of energy conservation efforts. This directive ensures that institutions like TUP-Taguig remain compliant with national energy efficiency programs while fostering a culture of sustainability within their communities. By adhering to these policies, the university is taking significant strides toward reducing energy wastage and optimizing resource utilization.
