Program Description

Bachelor of Engineering Technology Major in Chemical Technology (BET-CHET) is an undergraduate program where the disciplines of chemical engineering, polymer science, and technology are interphase to produce a chemical technician who can fit in the chemical process industries. It covers major subjects in analytical techniques with standard test methods, organic and inorganic chemistry, unit operations, instrumentation, and chemical practice. Chemical technician graduates may find employment in various chemical process industries such as quality control technicians, process control technicians, instrument supervisors, plant maintenance technicians/supervisors, laboratory analysts, research assistants, sales representatives, and others.

A graduate of Bachelor of Engineering Technology Major in Chemical Technology (BET-CHET) program should have the ability to:
